6/2/2025: They've changed the name from Gyro Stop to Joey G's and repainted and otherwise refurbished the interior, but the menu is the same. I had a double cheeseburger with grilled onions. I like old fashioned burgers made on the flat top, and it was excellent. My wife had a Greek salad and french fries and also said they were excellent. Not sure why they changed the name, but it's still a very good restaurant. Have eaten here for years, and we're taking out now because of COVID. The food is always hot, fresh, and well-wrapped so it gets home warm. The gyros are excellent, as are the other sandwiches. The corn nuggets are delicious, and Greek salads and other specialties are very good.
I DoorDash from here pretty regularly, they are extremely kind people. The folks serve good food, a good attitude, and a welcoming environment. I've never walked in here and have not been greeted with warm faces and hot fries. -- I love the special deals, subbing fries for curly fries, usually doing the Gyro Wrap or their Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. It's hard to pull off a pork tenderloin without it being a dry mess you have to mask with mayo and pickles. -- I'm glad I work from home close by so it's a good excuse to walk about a 1,000 feet so I can justify the diet coke.

Staff was kind and had genuine smiles. They seemed to work cohesively together. The eating spaces were very clean. The temperature inside was comfortable. Fries were burningly fresh. Great portion size and the cheese sauce was perfect. Very reasonably priced. Vegetable toppings tasted like they had been freshly cut.
This is my favorite spot in Springfield for gyros. It is always quick even when busy around lunch. Gyros are consistently good and the special is reasonably priced. The staff is awesome, very friendly and appreciative of your business.
Stopped here today for lunch. The food here was delicious! The gyro meat was amazing and I actually got some more to take home for dinner. Service was fast and efficient. Loved everything about the place really. Make this a stop if you like Greek food and a fun place with good music playing!
Always excellent food (I have had the hamburgers, gyros and salads). The staff is super friendly and helpful. If you are looking for great gyros then come to Gyro Stop.
